Q) Why does my insurance Explanation of Benefits say “Central Regional Pathology” and my statement says “University Park Pathologists”?
A) Our parent company is Central Regional Pathology Laboratories, which is an independent laboratory. Our subsidiary, University Park Pathologists, is the hospital based portion of our business. We have the same Tax ID and National Provider (NPI) number. The reason for two names is that different insurance rules (edits) apply to the different types of laboratories.

Quotes are provided directly to our Referring Facility, as they are the party who sends specimens for diagnosis and are the Point of Contact.
